Jasmine Brown & Randy Denny

Tuesday, February 5, 2008

Welcome and all the best to Jasmine Brown and Randy Denny and their families: Diana Brown; and Nebert and James Denny The two, a Development Administrator and an MTA Employee, both from Brooklyn were engaged on February 5, 2008 while at dinner with the bride's daughter. 'We talked about marriage and the possibility of spending the rest of our lives together - but on Feb. 5 I was not expecting him to make it real. I've never been a fan of Valentine's Day so I begged him not to waste time or money on VD junk, so when he shows up the week before with gifts, I didn't know what to expect. My first gift was a food processor, my second was wrapped at Macy's dept. store it contained various lingerie and a small black velvet box. I still had no idea what to expect. But when I opened it my jaw dropped. I asked what the meaning behind the diamond and white gold ring and he said it was a promise ring. That he promised to love me unconditionally and promised to care and nurture my child as if she was his own. This was the man of my dreams - practical, romantic and sentimental - with great taste in jewelery. They look forward to a September 6, 2009 celebation 'I can't say I was expecting it! Randy and I met on the train one day. He was at work and I had just quit my job hours earlier. I didn't think I was too interested in talking to some stranger on a train but he peaked my interest and made me laugh. So I agreed to accepting his number. We talked that night and haven't stopped talking since that first day in September. Our courtship was a fast one. Each day we've grown closer and he is wonderful with my 4 yo since he has a 4 yo of his own. Our first group date was pumpkin picking in Long Island, our girls got along fine and his parenting style was great.' We wish them all the very best.
