Long Island Engagement Announcements

Welcome aboard and congratulations to Elyse Carl and Christopher Remigio and their families: Sheryl and Steven Carl; and MaryAnn and PierLugigi Remigio. The two from East Meadow/Plainview and Whitestone respectively were engaged on April 11, 2008 while on a walk by Christoperh's home. 'It was Christophers birthday and we were having dinner at his house. His parents and brother Greg were there, and of course little Bella (the dog) :). After we ate, Christopher got up to take Bella for a walk. A few minutes after he got up, His mother told Elyse to join him. We went for a walk down the block and Christopher started asking questions about when we would get engaged. Elyse was confused but answered his questions. Last week she had mentioned she would want an old fashioned engagement, he brought this up and asked her what she meant by it. She explained but didn't think much of it. A few minutes later he asked her what she meant by wanting her family to be there, and if they would have to be there when they got engaged. Elyse laughed at this and said as long as she could call them after, then thats all that matters. He then asked 'so you'd be okay with getting engaged if your family wasnt there?' Elyse just looked at him and said of course. He stopped walking, looked at her and said 'are you sure?' and she said yes. Christopher then reached into his jacket, said 'well in that case,' and pulled out the ring' They look forward to a July 4, 2009 celebration at Carlyle on the Green. We wish them much continued love and happiness
