Long Island Engagement Announcements

We are happy to announce the engagement of jenny Taveras and Alex Birchenall and to extend our congratulations to their families: Rafael and Juana Taveras; and Andrew and Martha P. Birchenall. The two, A Special Education Teacher and a Social Studies Teacher from New York city were engaged on The Lake in Central Park on September 6, 2007. 'For my 25th birthday, Alex took me out to our favorite spot in New York City...the Lake in Central Park. We had dinner at the Boat House and, as an after dinner activity, went on the famous gondola on the lake. It was beautiful. We had the lake all to ourselves and as the gondolier was singing his second Italian love song, Alex got on one knee. It was a night to remember.' They look forward to a July 6, 2008 celebration at Woodbury Country Club. We would like to welcome them to our online family and wish them all the best.
