Ali and Alex met by chance at Starbucks on 11/5/04 when Alex's car battery died and he needed a jump...since then he hasn't been able to get away! A little over 3 1/2 years later on 6/22/08, he brought Ali to their secret bench in Avalon Park in Stony Brook Village. This bench bore their names for many years...until they noticed upon arrival that the bench had been replaced! Alex told Ali to take out her trusty Swiss Army knife to rectify the situation. While she was distracted with her weapon, Alex took out the ring from its hiding spot in his camera case, and went down on bended knee. Luckily for Alex, Ali dropped the knife, and happily accepted! After sustaining a hockey injury earlier that weekend, Alex was not able to get back up so easily. A December 5, 2009 wedding is currently being planned.
