We are happy to announce the engagement of Diana Rakowski and Giovanni Maturo and to extend our congratulations to their families: John and Teresa Rakowski; and Nicola and Lisa Maturo.
The happy Floral Park couple, a Teacher and a Physical Therapist were engaged on July 3, 2008 in Port Washington.
'We had a birthday dinner planned for me but when my Mom told us she didn't feel well Gio changed his plan of proposing 2 days later and asked me that night, my birthday! We had dinner at Prime View and then walked by the water where he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.'
They look forward to an August 15, 2009 celebration in Garden City.
