Congratulations, welcome and all the best to Lauren Lupario and Gary Stegmeier and their families: Linda and Marty Lupario; and Kathy and Gary Segmeier.
The happy couple, a Benefit Authorizer and a NYC Fireman, both from Fresh Meadows were engaged on August18, 2008 while in Outerbanks, North Carolina.
'Gary took me for a walk on the beach after dinner and I thought that he was going to propose. When he didn't I was disappointed. We walked back to the huge house we were renting with our friends and I walked out onto the top deck to see what everyone was doing and there were millions of candles, rose petals, and vases of roses all over the place. I turned to Gary and he was down on one knee! After I said yes all of friends came out onto the deck cheering and even the next door neighbors were on their deck watching the whole thing and cheering (we didn't know them). Our friends were great - they had champagne and a cake and my cell phone ready for me to call everyone back home!'
