Congratulations and best wishes to April MacGregor and Michael DePersio and their families: John and Kathleen MacGregor; and Robert and Geraldine DePersoi The two, a Teacher's Aide from Lake Grove and a Teacher from Holbrook were engaged on October 18, 2008 at LaGrova 'We were out to eat with my family like a normal night at LaGrova, an italian restaurant that me and my family have been going to for years. Mike had excused himself to go to the bathroom but when he came back, he wasn't alone. In walks Mom and Dad DePersio, Laura, Jessica, Rob, Brian, Doug, Miss Linda and her son Jared. As I looked at the line of them walking in, I knew something was definitely up. He was the last one to enter and then I knew. He had said 'its been long enough!' He got down on one knee, and had said to me 'April MacGregor, I love you. Would you be my wife, my partner, and my best friend forever?' Of course I said yes! And naturally, I had to say something stupid, so as I stood up I yelled 'I would have dressed nicer!' LOL They popped a bottle of champagne and we toasted with everyone. The entire restaurant was clapping! It was something I will NEVER forget.. Me and Mike always said that we wanted our engagement to be something that we cherished, but I always wanted someone to just take a picture of the special moment. And oh boy, did they ever! I got tons of pictures of the engagement and the after party at Lilly Flannagans! ' They look forward to an August 22, 2009 celebration. We would like to welcome them and wish them much continued love, health and happiness.
