Long Island Engagement Announcements

Welcome and best wishes to Christina Pignatelli and Carmine D'amato and their families: Larry and Rosanna Pignatelli; and Antonio and Joann D'Amato. The happy couple: a Guidance Counselo and a Financial Analyst from Staten Island and Whitestone respectivley were engaged on February 14, 2009 while on a dinner cruise around Mahnhattan. 'Carmine surprised me with a limo into the city on Valentine's day. When we got onto the cruise, he had a table reserved in a private room. Right before dinner, he asked me if I wanted to go out on deck to look at the skyline. I was a little skeptical because it was so cold out. When we finally got outside, however, it wasn't cold at all and the new york city skyline was beautiful in the background. I looked at him and told him, joking around, that all my friends thought he was going to propose to me on Valentine's day. Little did I know that they weren't too far off. Carmine looked me in the eye and said 'you should probably know that your friends were right'. He then pulled out a ring and got down on one knee. I don't remember what Carmine said next because I was crying so hard, but I do remember saying yes! They look forward to July 17, 2010 celebration at El Caribe Country Club in Brooklyn. We wish them much continue love and happiness.
