Welcome aboard to Elizabeth Piwowar and Timothy Lynch and to their families: Tina Hobbs and Dennis Powowar; and Fran and Donald Lynch The happy couple: A First Grade Teacher in Queees, and a NYC FireFighter from Ozone Park, and Levittown respectivley were engaged on May 29, 2009 in the bride's First Grade classroom 'Tim propsed to me at work in front of my students. He was there with a friend to talk to the first grade about fire safety. After asking my students if they would like to see the teacher wear his fire helmet, I stood in front of the class. He waved the box in the air asking the class 'Boys and Girls, What kind of tool do you think this is?' Although they didn't grasp the concept, a student stated it's a box. At that moment he opened the box. I was in complete shock. He got down on one knee and proposed. It was the happiest and most surprising moment of my life =) They look forward to a July 16, 2011 celebration. We wish them all the best.
