Long Island Engagement Announcements

We are happy to welcome to our online family Madison DeAngelo and Alessandro Zisimopoulos and to extend our contratulations to their respective families: Vincent and Vivienne DeAngelo; and Petro and Vanessa Zisimopoulos. The happy couple: A Quantitative Analyst, and a Mechanical Engineer Ceo of auto customs business from Brooklyn and Manhasset respectively were engaged on July 11, 2009 in Catania, Italy. 'I had asked Madison's father for permission to marry her. He made me sweat it out a bit but after a good heart to heart he gave me his blessing. Madison and I have been traveling all summer thus far on my boat in the Mediterranean and after seeking the permission of her father we docked in Catania, Italy. This is where my cousin Dacia helped me with the details. Most of Madison's family was around as they mostly travel there for vacation during the summer. There was a huge party taking place on her grandparents estate and even a band playing. I gave the band the sign to play our song 'Faithfully' by Journey. This song rings true between our busy schedules and second chances. She looked beautiful as I took her hand and pulled her onto the dance floor. We were dancing for a minute and then I just whispered I loved her, pulled away, stopped dancing and looked right at her and proceeded to get down on one knee. The violins in the back kept going, my heart raced and then I took her hand looked up at her and went on about how I loved her and asked her if she would like to walk around the table with me - which is Greek tradition. She cried as I took the ring out of my pocket and placed it onto her finger and she said YES and jumped into my arms. The happiest moment to date in my life, in our life.' They look forward to a March 20, 2010 celebration. We wish them all the best.
