Long Island Engagement Announcements

We are happy to announce the engagement of Eulix Vargas and Jeremy Verdera and to extend our congratulations to their respective families: Eufemia and Felix Vargas; and Rose Montierde Verdera and Romeo Verdera. The two: A Holistic Medicine...acupunture, and massage therapy practitioner, and a Video Editor and Martial Arts Instructor from New York City and Staten Island respectively were engaged at Canadensis Pennsylvania in the Poconos on February 17, 2008. 'We went to Canadensis, PA. and stayed with some friends at a nice cabin with two floors and a fire place. It was really nice. Jeremy stayed with friends as well (he went too). It was my very first time skiing (so you know I bust my ........ ). In fact, I should get a medal for the most falls on the slope; my first fall was when I was trying to get off the lift. Anyway, it was an amazing trip that i would never forget. February 17, a Sunday morning, Jeremy proposed to me in front of the cabin I was staying in. I didn’t see it coming! I had no idea (was this trip a set up?). But, I’m glad it did. Breaking the news to the parents was another story. But that went well (better than I thought) also. Monday night (of the same day we returned), Jeremy and I took our parents to the Olive Garden to tell them the news. Everything went well. Thank God. :-) They look forward to a November 8, 2009 celebration replete with a ceremony in Manhattan and a reception at Jericho Terrace. We wish them all the best.
