Welcome and best wishes to Tara Rappa and Paul Chou and to their families: Rose and Salvatore; and Lillian and Allen. The happy couple: An RN and an IT Manager, both from Lynbrook were engaged on November 14, 2009 at Paul's house. 'It was my 30th birthday. Since I was 13 years old, my birthday was nothing but a bad memory for me, and I hated celebrating it. My nana died the day before my 13th birthday, so ever since that birthday, things were never the same. Paul knew this, so for my 30th he threw me a birthday party. He asked if I wanted my presents before or after the guests arrived. Of course I said before! He gave me my card, which made fun of 30 year olds, but as I opened the card, the ring was taped inside. I looked up at him with tears in my eyes, I was so happy. He told me to read the left side of the card, which said 'To my fiance: I hope you remember this day and moment forever'. When I looked up, he had the ring in his hand and was down on his knee. I couldn't stop crying. He turned a once sad day into one of the happiest days of my life. ' They look forward to a November 13, 2011 celebration at Jericho Terrace. We wish them all the very best.
