Sal proposed on August 31, 2009 and it was a complete surprise. We had talked about getting married and even shopped around for ring but I really didn't expect it so soon and especially not the way he did it. My birthday is in the end of September and as a birthday gift he bought me tickets to 2 of my favorite bands' concerts : Journey & Kings of Leon. On our way to the Journey concert everything seemed normal - we were running late as usual! We got to the parking lot and he told me to check the camera to make sure the batteries were in it which seemed really odd so after complaining that it was going to waste more time I finally gave in and opened the back pocket of the camera and sitting there was the most beautiful perfect ring ever!! I was in shock for a good minute or two and he acted so non-chalant. I looked at it and looked back at him and he said 'what the batteries aren't in there?'. So I looked back at it and for a second I thought I was halucinating so I had to touch it to make sure it was real haha!! Then he laughed and asked me to marry him :) my favorite part was he said first 'pretend I'm on my knee...' haha which is so Sal!! Right after we got out of the car a man selling T-shirts came by and Sal bought me a shirt as a memory<3 and the man happened to say 'ma'am you have a great boyfriend here and I'm sure eventually a great fiance'....SO CRAZY!! I was hysterically laughing saying 'actually yeah he just became my fiance two minutes ago!' We had a magical night! The concert was amazing and it was so much more unbelievable being able to say I was enjoying it with my FIANCE.

The happy couple engaged on August 31, 2009 looks forward to a September 4, 2011 celebration.
