We are happy to welcome to our online family Bessie and Ed and to extend our congrtulations to their respective families: Alla and Igor Mikit; and Alex and Lyuba Godin.
The two: A Marketing Coordinator and a Business Development Specialist from Brooklyn were engged on the Brooklyn side of the Verrazano Bridge on April 25, 2010.
'I am quite difficult to surprise, so my fiance decided to completely throw me off and ask for me to pull over from the Belt Parkway onto a rest stop because he wasn't feeling too well after a night of dinner and drinks with friends. After he pretended to be sick over a railing with the ocean on the other side in the pouring rain at 2:30am , he turned around and dropped on one knee uttering those magical words. He really had me off guard! The first thing I said was 'I'm going to be sick right now', followed by 'Wheres the ring!!!' because it was so windy and I didn't want to have a Titanic moment and dive in after it. It could not have been more surprising than it was. I proceeded to call my father and announce my engagement, when he said one of the strangest things, which was 'Congratulations, twice in one day'. I asked what he was referring to, when he told me that MY 23 YEAR OLD SISTER GOT ENGAGED EARLIER THAT DAY!!!! Apparently her fiance called my father the previous night at 2am and asked for my fathers blessing. My fiance picked up my father at 6am the SAME DAY and asked for his blessing. This was sheer coincidence, and not planned AT ALL. It was simply the most amazing and incredible day of my life to date'
They look forward to a November 20, 2010 celebration of love at the Riviera.
We wish them all the very best.
