Long Island Engagement Announcements

As an officer in the US Navy Jimmy has always been required to do a bit of traveling. He went on several trips the first 6 months of our relationship; but still our relationship grew. After about 8 months of dating we got word that Jimmy would be deployed. There was no question about it - we would be staying together. We had both already recognized that in each other we found our counter part. Six months into his deployment, Jimmy came home to the US for a two week period of rest and relaxation. I never thought that those two weeks would be as eventful. Jimmy and I were able to meet in NY and the next day we planned to go into the city with his family and take his nieces and nephews to see Santa at Macy's in Herald Square. It was in Santa Land in Macy's that Jimmy surprised me by telling Santa Claus that the only thing he wanted for Christmas was to marry me. Right then and there, in front of all of his family, Jimmy got down on one knee and proposed; it was the happiest moment of my life to that point. He had the entire day planned out and the surprises did not end with the proposal. He had arranged for my family to also be present, and I did not even know they were there until afterward. Our two families then celebrated together by enjoying a fantastic meal. After just 12 days of engagement Jimmy had to return to his deployment. While we did not get to enjoy the high of our engagement for as long as others might, I still believe that I got the best possible Christmas present; Jimmy came home and now I would get to be his wife. I can not wait for my sailor to come home for good. We are happy to welcome to our online family Kathryn tortorici and James Mirance. The happy couple, engaged on December 22, 2010 looks forward to a March 31, 2012 celebration. We wish them much continued love and happiness.
