Long Island Engagement Announcements

We are happy to welcome to our online family Melissa Miller and Robert Lynam and to extend our congratulations to their respective families: Gary and Suzanne Miller; and Michael and Maureen Lynam. The two: A Social Worker from Holbrook and a Driver/Salesman for Clar Rose from Centereach were engaged on February 11, 2011 at Mama's Restaurant. 'Rob proposed to me on the Friday before Valentine's Day while out to eat at our favorite Italian restaurant. After dinner we were standing in the front of the restaurant trying to find our keys, and Rob told me that he forgot to show me something earlier. I waited impatiently in the cold to see what Rob had to show me that was SO important that it could not wait until we got in the car. He pulled out his cell phone and quickly paged through some pictures, and I thought I noticed that his hands were shaking (but didn't think twice about it). Rob quickly put his phone in his pocket, pulled out the engagement ring, got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. Rob used a diamond in my engagement ring that had been passed down in his family for generations. At the time I was so shocked that I couldn't get any words out! After we laughed and hugged for a minute I was finally able to tell him 'YES!!' I am so thrilled that I am going to spend the rest of my life with him, and honored to have such a special ring' They look forward to May 12, 2012 celebration of love. We wish them many years of joy and happiness.
