Danny and I went to Mexico for vacation. He wanted the first night of our vacation to be relaxed and wanted to go down to the beach and just watch the sunset. As it was starting to set, we were going to walk down to the beach and I saw hammocks lined up in a section before the beach. I love hammocks and how relaxed it feels to lay on one, so I got really excited and asked him to go there. He said after we get back from the beach, but of course I got my way and we went to lay down on them. As I was laying down (and had a few drinks in me already), I was feeling relaxed. I turn to look at him in the next hammock and he's on the floor. I asked him what happened and he said he fell off. Then I see him walk a little down further to the towel stand, and I was oblivious, as I was just laying on my hammock enjoying the breeze. He comes back and dusts off the hammock and I hear a 'ding' that sounded like a beer bottle cap. (It turned out that he had the ring on his pinky finger hiding it from me and when he laid down on the hammock, he looked at his pinky and it wasn't there. He started freaking out and that's why he was on the floor and walking around looking for it. When it 'dinged' on the floor, he thought I saw it). Then he knelt down beside me on my hammock and he proposed! I started crying, of course, and said YES! He put the ring on my finger which is so beautiful and exactly what I wanted! Every day since the engagement, we would go by the hammocks and lay down for a while and just relax. It was truly amazing! (Although I did ruin his plan on proposing on the beach during the sunset, I think this was beautiful and I definitely did not expect it!)
