Congratulations and welcome to Rose Marie and Joseph. Rose Marie, of Kew Gardens, and Joseph, of East Meadow, both attorneys, were engaged at Cinderella's Castle, Disney Wold on August 15, 2010. 'Joe took me to Cinderella's Castle for dinner. I thought we got lucky because we got an awesome seat by the window, and we got to enjoy a great view of the fireworks show right outside the castle, which 'happened to coincide' with our dinner reservation time. After a great fireworks show and a Wish Upon a Star show that happened right in the middle of the restaurant with all the princesses and the fairy godmother...I was ready to order dessert! But suddently a waiter appeared with a dome covered dish. I was about to tell Joe that he should let the waiter know that he has the wrong table, because we had not ordered dessert yet. But when I turned to him to say this, Joe was no longer sitting in his seat across from me. Instead he was on one knee next to my seat asking me to marry him! The waiter was actually holding my engagement ring on the dish in a glass slipper filled with rose petals! I was in such shock that I didn't even eat my dessert which eventually arrived! And I left my cell phone behind in the castle as well =/ (eventually got it back!)' The happy couple is looking forward to their September 2, 2012 celebration of love at East Wind Caterers.
