Welcome and congratulations to Carolyn and Scott, and an extended congratulations to their respective families; Patricia and Nicholas; and Mary. Carolyn, a sr. court office assistant from East Islip, and Scott, in retail management, from Patchogue, were engaged on September 17, 2011 at Bay Shore Marina. 'Even though we've talked about marriage, it was a complete surprise. I thought he was going to propose on my birthday. He didn't. Five days later Scott sent me a text early in the morning asking me to meet him at the Bay Shore Marina, which I thought was odd. I met him there and he wanted to go for a walk and talk. I started to get nervous. He led me to a bench and asked me to sit down. He seemed nervous, but began to tell me how much he loved me and how he wanted to spend the future with me. He got down on one knee and took out the ring. I was in complete shock! I started to cry and said yes. He put the ring on my finger and then kept apologizing for making me wait.' The happy couple is looking forward to their April 28, 2013 wedding at Majestic Gardens.
