We would like to welcome and congratulate Melissa Firmes and John Ray, and extend our congratulations to their respective families: Alice and Roy Firmes; and John Ray Sr.
Melissa, a social worker, and John, a baker, both from Copiague, were engaged on January 4, 2012 at Atlantic City, NJ.
'We were out to dinner at Paladino's in Harrah's Atlantic City. John did not plan on a proposal, he just suddenly felt like it was right. 'I love you. I'm not going to find anybody else like you. We are so happy and we have the best relationship. Let's get married. Let's do this! Let's have a wedding the whole thing. Will you marry me?''
The happy couple is looking forward to their October 19, 2012 celebration of love!
