A warm welcome and congratulations to Nina Vecchio and Ken Ushman, and an extended congratulations to their respective families; Mrs. & Mr. Anthony Vecchio; Mrs. & Mr. Neal Ushman. Nina, in marketing, and Ken, in software sales, both from Redwood City, CA, were engaged on June 8, 2013 at Ferrari Carano Vineyard, Healdsburg, CA. 'After conducting a tireless search for the perfect ring, Kenny planned a weekend away in Healdsburg (California wine country). Ordinarily this kind of initiative would have tipped Nina off, but she had just been whining about how badly she wanted to visit wine country a few weeks before so she just assumed he was tired of hearing about it and thought nothing else of it. Saturday afternoon they decided to visit some local vineyards, so they took a drive towards one of the more scenic in the area, the beautiful Ferrari Carano Winery. They decided to tour the garden, and Ken lead them into the gazebo. Before Nina even had a chance to think, Kenny was down on one knee asking her to marry him with the most gorgeous diamond ring in his hand. Of course she said yes and the rest, as they say, is history...' The happy couple is excitedly looking forward to their October 11, 2014 wedding at Chateau Briand Caterers.
