A warm welcome and congratulations to Kristy McEvoy and Bryan Sicignano on their recent engagement. An extended congratulations to their respective families, as well; Donna and Patrick McEvoy; Carol Sicignano. Kristy, a field support specialist for Leica Biosystems, and Bryan, a supervisor for New York State Parks, were engaged on January 1, 2014. 'We decided to stay home on New Year's Eve and have some champagne at midnight. When it got close to midnight, Bryan wanted Kristy to stand up to ring in the New Year. Kristy wanted to stay on the couch because their dog, Jitterbug, was scared of the fireworks going off outside. Finally, Kristy stood up to please her boyfriend. They counted down: 5.. 4.. 3.. 2.. 1.. Kristy turned to Bryan to give him a kiss, to find him down on his knee. He asked 'Will you Marry me'? At first Kristy was speechless, but after a few seconds, she said 'yes!'' The happy couple is looking forward to their April 30, 2016 Long Island wedding!
