It's coming up to my 1st wedding anniversary and I am so excited! I just don't know where to go! I only get a limted time off from work this year. So I wanted to go away 9/11-9/14. I don't want to spend an outrageous amount and was looking to get some ideas.
I was thinking the City but I think it would cost us $600 just for the hotel not including the food and attractions we would like to see.
Could you please help me???

What about Mystic CT. DH and I went there for a short weekend getaway, really nice.

Hmm..You can take the ferry there correct? Do you have details? My husband is leaving it up to me, whatever I want to do. As long as we are happy is all that counts!

How about Newport, RI? you can take the ferry from Orient Point (Eastern LI) and put your car on it, then drive to Newport from there. It's a scenic not too long drive...Newport is a seaside town with a cliff walk and beautiful historic mansions and dining by the sea. It's a perfect weekend or 3-day getaway :)

Have you thought about going to Atlantic City, the Borgota is gorgeous. The beach is really nice for walks. There's so much to do besides the casino, go on the boardwalk or the pier. It won't cost that much for a weekend getaway. I believe, they have some discount rooms at this time. If that idea doesn't work for you, a bed & breakfast inn is always romantic for a weekend trip.

Thanks Ladies! You all have been so helpful! My husband and I just don't want to spend as much money as we did on the Honeymoon..it's crazy!!! I say a cruise but we are going on one in Jan!!
I better get cracking cause September 12th is pratically around the corner!!!!

I was supposed to look at things with my husband this weekand. But ti never happened!! So busy!!! Friday we were at the Beach celebrating my Parent In Laws Aniversary, then Saturday I went to the 80's Prom in the City! I am going try to look at things tomorrow when it's quiet at work and my boss is not in!!!

you could also just do a b&b in the north fork and go to wineries. . or go to the berkshires or vt for a b&b .. .there are a lot of affordable place nearby
and you can DEF get way cheaper in the city. . use the hotel sites as you get closer and they can be cheap. . I mean for my wedding I stayed at the ritz carlton and it was 240 or something a night with a 100 food credit and it was gorgeous!!!
