Our 1 year falls on a Sat in October of this year. We just went to Mexico in March so we dont want to go away and go crazy.
We were thinking getting room in the NYC.. somthing like that. Or AC...
Any suggestions on nice cute places to go for a weekend?

Newport, RI is really nice. DH and I went there last February and stayed at the Hotel Viking.

we just went to foxwoods for our one year...we stopped at mystic and did the aquarium..It was a nice weekend!

Def Atlantic City, do the Qua Spa couple pkg at Caesars and stay at one of the hotels for a weekend thing. Taj Mahal is gorgeous and the rooms offer a breathtaking ocean front view but since it's on the luxury side, it will def be on the expensive side. I'm planning on doing a picnic with DH during the day, go to the spa in the afternoon, and have dinner at River's Cafe in Dumbo, Bklyn. The restaurant view is amazing! Then cut the mini-replica of our wedding cake. Our baker is going to make a mini-version of our wedding. Unfortunately, we didn't get to save the top layer, our caterers chuck everything after slices were served to guests.

Thanks Ladies! I will run all this by the hubby.
He brought up Vegas for a couple of days but I would want to do more then just a show and stuff. But that can add up $$$

I am planning a surprise getaway to Salem, MA ... thought the whole Halloween thing would be cool and we dont need to fly. I am booking 3 nights at a bed & breakfast within walking distance from downtown Salem!

How about Mohonk Mountain House in New Paltz, upstate? It's beautiful there with really good food DH and I have been there for my b-day two years in a row. You can hike up a mountain, paddleboat or kayak and in the fall all the leaves are so pretty.
