1 year last Sunday and new business from it :)

Well, it has already been 1 year (1 yr. and 1 week actually). :)

We are going to DisneyWorld for a few days at the end of this month to celebrate and just have a good, fun time.

I've decided in this last year to make so many changes, and one huge decision is going back to school.

While in school, I have also decided to combine my former occupation (executive assistant/event coordinator) with all the knowledge I learned while planning my wedding.

I've started to do some part-time wedding consulting/planning on the side and it's been great. My friend married last night in Pennsylvania and I was so proud to see everything come together. She was very happy and I was so pleased with everything we had planned. My husband is also getting into the business with photography so it's very exciting!

I thought about doing the wedding consulting thing too- can i ask you how you got started?

It was somewhat intentional... I began with helping my friends, and that went well, so they referred me to their friends.

I had experience with event planning/coordinating so it has helped, and I truly believe it's just a matter of paying attention to detail and remembering everything.

I was so stressed with my own wedding and the only help I had was really from this board. I think because I was obviously so emotionally involved with my own, it made it much more difficult to plan, whereas with friends/clients, it's great.
