Is anyone planning on doing anything special or going away for there 1yr.
If so where or what are you guys doing???
ME and Dh where talking about this last night and we want to go away for the weekend

I want to either go to an all inclusive resort in St.Lucia or Mexico if not I am up for the caymen islands but i definately want to go away

I definitely want to go away. We wanted to do the Riviera Maya for 4 days since DH wont have vacation. Looking at prices though I think we will take the week long vacation to the Rivera Maya when DH has spring break (he is a teacher) and do a nice B&B semi close getaway for the weekend.
Does anyone have suggestions on B&B. Not too pricey =0). And 1-2 hour distance.

We def. want to go away but we'll see with $$. If we cant do a big vacay we'll go away for the weekend.

yes we are thinking of the same thing about doing a B&B bc we are suspose to go to vegas like 2 months after our anniversary so we want to do something small.

we're taking a trip to mexico next month. our anniversary isn't until feb, but we'll be moving into our house (hopefully!) at that time, so we're taking the trip a little early. on our actual day we'll probably go back to WM for our anniversary dinner.

That's what I wanted to do. Go and have a private dinner in CB in the room that we got married in but they said that they dont do that. Besides the room I am sure is booked for that night.

I want to go away too for a week, but then again I also want to do 'trash the dress' so don't know. The economy is hard right now...at least for us.

We originally said on our HM that we would go back there for our 1 yr but then, happened. We'll have a one-month old on our 1 yr anniversary now, so Cabo is out of the question, along with pretty much anywhere really. I'm thinking we'll get someone to watch the baby and just go have a nice dinner out.

Yeah I think (hope) we are in the same boat as you, doesn't look like we will be going away!

our anniversary is in May, but we're going away in March since its cheaper. We're doing four days in London and then four days in Amsterdam. I can't wait, dh has never been to Europe!

i wish we could have dinner in the room we got married in, but it's in their restaurant. and the menu is a little funky for my super picky tastes, but it's a free meal, so i'll take it,

We stayed in the Chianti region during our honeymoon. It was lovely. We had tastings at a few vineyards but the best was Castello di Verrazzano.
They offered a complete meal with the wine and the grounds are AMAZING!
Also, there is a restaurant called Il Borgo Antico - the proprietors are a husband and wife team. The husband is the head waiter and sommelier and the wife is the chef. Amazing food and an incredible view of the hills.
