14 months later and some people just do not get it!

I make time for my forends as much as I can. It is very hard taking care of a house, still emptying it out from my mom and dads stuff, they both passed away, juggling our jobs, . I work 1 job and occasionally tutor when DH can't tutor and is late at work, DH works 3 jobs ... he is energetic... we get up at 5 AM all week, and 2 single friends do not get it, on the weekends DH and I like to have time just for us, whether it is going to the movies, having a picnic, etc. I get yesterday from 2 of them ..' It figures you will not meet me for lunch, I am in your area, or I am not surprised... I do not understand why they do not understand that we are exhausted on the weekends and any energy we have left we try to do something together without the hussle and bussle of the work week. One is unemployed and now expects me to just drop things and the other one has a boyfrined I do not care for, he treats her like dirt.... I make time every few weeks during the week to met them for dinner or coffee. I am so fustarated. Is anyone else having any similiar issues? The rest of my friends are not complaining.... we see each other when we can , it just seems to be the single ones. One even complained why do I see my BIL's on some weekends when I could be getting together with them! family is important to us! It is not bothering me why should it bother them? I am begining to think they are jealous. Opinons? Advice?

Do they know how busy you are during the week? If they do then they need to understnad that you are exhausted and on the weekends you like to spend them alone with your spouse. I think that you can still stay in contact with them also. Maybe go out for lunch or dinner with them one night of the weekend or one day just so they dont get mad all the time. After all you dont want to lose them as friends completely.

I am seeing these people whenever I can, I do not know what to do anymore, I meet them for lunch or coffee, every 2 or 3 weeks. They do not have the responsibilities that we have and spend money like water, they only have rent to pay or nothing because one still lives at home. We pay mortage of 2,000 a month, electric, water, phone, student loans etc.

Some people have no clue. I know how frustrating it can be. I don't have any advice. We are in the same boat sometimes.

By the weekend we really miss each other. I went up to DH at a BBQ tonight and introduced myself. I shook his hand and said, 'Hi, I'm Jennifer. I'm your wife. It is nice to make your acquaintance.'

He laughed, shook hands and kissed; our friends looked at us like we had three heads.
