It's so scary! It was across the board from all different departments. The director of the company said they made the decision before the holidays but waited until after Christmas to do it. This is the second round of layoffs they have had since I started 3 months ago. They said it had to do with cost and that's it. The department managers didn't even know! I hope these people can find jobs quickly!

Yes, I was. I was lucky enough to find a job within 2 months. It's not that easy right now.

Oh, wow! Nice of them to at least not do it before the holiday. It's really unnerving though...keeping hearing this so much. I hope your job is secure and you're spared.

Apparently they did 17 so they won't have to do more later on. It was purely for financial reasons. It really suckss!
