1st Anniversary - did you go away and where?

I have another 5 months before we hit our first year anniversary but we've been thinking about what to do.

Any suggestions? We went on a cruise for our honeymoon and we would definitly do that again. I want to go to Bermuda but we would have to wait until May/June to go. Anniversary is in March.

W didn't really want to spend to much money so we went to the the wineres upstate and then my Husband booked a Dinner Cruise months before without me knowing it (and I thought I know everything

) Any way he surprised me with a Dinner Cruise around Seneca Lake. Boy I love those Surprises!

Since Dh only had weekend liberty we went to San Antonio, Texas.
We got up early ate our wedding cake for breakfast and headed to Sea World, San Antonio then we hung out at Sea World for the day and went back to the city. Were we checked into the Emily Morgan and he got one of the master suites with a hottub that had a view of the Alamo and the downtown area.
We then went out to dinner on the riverwalk and then he had a horse drawn carriage meet us and we took a 40 minute tour around the city and went back to the hotel. The next morning we visited the Alamo and toured the riverwalk again and then went back home.

Our hotel and the Alamo, we had one of those big cornor rooms the blinds are open on the 7th floor

We went to Turks and Caicos for our 1st anniversary. We ended up going in May though....

We went back to our reception site for dinner and reminisce our wedding day exactly a year ago. We ordered food that was from our wedding and I try to re-live that day all over again. We met with the banquet manager for an in-person thank you and ordered a replica of our wedding cake. The replica of our wedding cake outside was not the same but the filling is exactly the same as the taste.

We decided to cut our wedding cake 12 pieces for 12 months of the year where each month on the day we would have a piece of our cake. We save the biggest piece for our one year anniversary and the taste was definitely not the same. I'm glad we cut it 12 pieces and each month we have a piece because the blackout would spoil the entire cake! We were glad to have a fresh cake replica of our wedding cake!

He gave me concert tickets to see Shania Twain an he is undecided with his gift. 1st year anniversary--paper, concert tickets is paper.

our anniversary was in June. we didn't go away then but we leave in 2 weeks for a cruise to the Southern Caribbean and are spending time beforehand in Puerto Rico

We went out to the Hamptons for the weekend, and stayed at a great bed and breakfast called A Butler's Manor. We did wineries, the Montauk lighthouse, pumpkin picking, etc. It was a lot of fun, and a lot less expensive than flying somewhere!

If anyone is looking for a good b&b, this one was great.... I would definitely recommend it.

we didnt have much $$ or time but we just celabrated at the couryard mariott we had a very nice jacuzzi room and a romantic dinner we also bout ourselves a bedroom set instead of going some where- all in all it was wonderful and im sad its over.

We actually got to spend it together! I'd been living in NY and DH was still in Boston with our apartment and furnishings and his old job, waiting to close on our house, so after 6 months of back and forth on weekends, we closed on our house 2 days before our anniversary, then high-tailed it back to MA for the final packing - went to a nice Italian restaurant in the North End for an anniversary dinner. The mover's arrived the next day and we headed back to NY and spent the night 'camping out' in the house - the movers arrived at 8:30 on Monday - my birthday. So I got a house for my anniversary and birthday.
