$300 for raw footage!

$300 for raw footage!

I ordered the raw footage of our video and it cost $150, but when we went to pick it up today, it was on VHS. DH and I don't have a VCR anymore, so I asked if it could be made to DVD. They called me back saying it would cost $300 to make it a DVD.

Am I the only one who thinks this is outrageous? I wanted the raw footage because we had a full mass, and a lot of it was cut out of the video.

That sux! I made sure I added raw footagw on DVD to my contract... maybe we should remind future brides to do this.
I would still buy it for the $300... it is worth it to have the raw footage! Do yo think you will watch it enough to make it worth it?

OR you can buy the vhs for $150 and have it converted somewhere else (Target does it for $35). the quality won't be as good but it will be a lot cheaper.

I have a DVD / tape player and recorder. It can record from video to DVD. It only cost like $200 which is cheaper that paying your videographer!

We paid $75 for ours. $300 seems really high. It's not that hard for them to transfer it.
What about getting the VHS and taking it somewhere else to have it transferred to DVD? I am sure it will be less somewhere else.

That's crazy. How much could it cost them to transfer it. For $300 you can buy a couple VCR's!

We got our raw footage on video and on DVD. It really shouldn't cost that much.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I think I'm going to suck it up and pay the $150 for the VHS and then maybe convert it to DVD myself.

It makes me sick, paying $150 for a videotape that is not even edited.
