I only dated one other person, ever...I'm super picky but something abt dh made him so interesting and it didn't hurt that I found him so attractive.

a few things...
we were really good friends before we started dating and i was always 100% myself with him and him with me. and i had never been that way with anyone before.
he blended in with my family. my 3 sisters and i (including the rest of my family) are a little intense. we really are a little crazy when we are around each other and it takes a very unique people to deal with that.
we laugh together every day! i'm like Charlotte from Sex and the City. i'm not happy ALL day every day, but i am happy every day!! haha so corny!!
the MAJOR difference is butterflies.. after almost 4 years together i still get butterflies when we are together

That's a hard question. I've dated lots of guys (I was 38 when we met) and was even engaged once before and called it off. I think I just felt 'safe' with DH. Even when I tried to push him away, he just stayed put.

My previous boyfriends craved constant attention and wanted to be around me 24/7, I don't really like that, I need me time When I met DH we both had busy schedules going on, so the only time we would see each other was on the weekends, which was great we never got sick of seeing each other and we both had our lives going on and then had our lives together. We still had this when we moved in together last year, it works for us

He was sweet, caring, thoughtful and generous. I had never known what it was like to go on a 'real date' where the guy took me out (and it wasn't a 50/50 split of everything) and opened doors for me and did all that gentlemanly stuff. It had actually boggled my mind that someone would treat me to ANYTHING and while I never took advantage of it and tried to contribute my fair share as much as possible, I knew that was a sign he was a keeper.

He's just a good, decent person and I could see myself as lucky to be around him the rest of our lives. He makes me so happy and that makes him happy. Same thing other way around.

In all honesty, DH liked me for a long time & I was never interested in him. It took a dream I had of him to convince me to take him up on his many offers. Once we started dating - i realized that he was my best friend and i could tell him everything. Although he can be a PITA at times, I know that he genuinely cares for me and loves me. He means the world to me and I could not imagine my life without him.

we always had a ton of fun together, he is the funniest person i know, can be really romantic when he wants to be, and he has a really sensitive sweet side too, as well as the tuff guy bad guy side that most girls love!

I could be myself around him. Plus he doesn't put up with my crap and he calls me out on stuff.
