****3/7 NWQOTD****

I am so excited to be NWOTW!! Thanks for choosing me Jen and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you!

Hope you all are having a great weekend. I had kind of a crazy day yesterday...so I am just going to spend today relaxing and catching up on all of the DVRed shows I didn't have a chance to watch this week. I am currently watching that new wedding show on TLC...Four Weddings and it got me to thinking. We were actually signed up to do this show, but DH and I decided last minute not to do it because we didn't want the stress and also, we didn't want other people (random strangers) to judge our wedding. In the end, I am SO glad we didn't do the show because I honestly think some of these girls are a little over-critical. Although, I must admit...we'd totally win if we were on it.

So today's QOTD is...would you ever go on a wedding TV show? If so, which one? Platinum Weddings (i wish!!!), Four Weddings, Say Yes to the Dress, David Tutera's My Fair Wedding? Something else?

I think I would have done Say Yes to the Dress. I love that show, but I never ended up going to Kleinfeld's cause I found my dress somewhere else before we made it. I wouldn't have done My Fair Wedding because I wouldn't have wanted David to change anything about my wedding.

Great question!

I too signed up for the four wedding show and then backed out. I felt weird having strangers judging my wedding and then have to see that on national tv. Besides, DH and I put a lot of time and effort into our wedding to then have someone rip it apart was not going to sit well with me. AND THESE GIRLS RIP THE WEDDINGS APART. I am glad I didn't do it.

Out of all the shows I would of done 'say yes to the dress.' I had an appointment at Kleinfelds during one of the tapings and I was tempted to sign up in hopes that they will find me THE ONE. I then found my dress at another bridal shop and didn't want to be bothered with the commotion of the crowds and cameras.

I dunno I have mixed feelings abt it part of me would have loved to do one and then part of me likes that it was just family and friends and that our wedding was just the way we liked it.

Although I know at times OTHER ppl would have prob wanted to sign me up on Bridezillas. LOL

I would have gone on any of the three but I never applied.

We were in talks about Four Weddings and didn't do it for the same reasons as you ladies. We didn't want to hear criticism about something we worked so hard for.

I think the only one I would really be up for is Say Yes For the Dress - a lot of the other shows can get mean or hurtful.

I would like to think I was not a Bridezillas candidate.

Platinum Weddings would have been nice - if someone wanted to bankroll it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I don't know. .I prob would have done say yes to the dress bc they really don't make fun of you at all unless you're really a crazy bee-atch!

and def not the david tutera one bc we planned so hard and would not have wanted all of our things changed. . and don't think we needed it -

four weddings prob no for the same reasons - being criticized but more so for having random people at our wedding - they totally would have messed up the seating chart!!

No, I think I am way too self-conscious to have my stuff judged by the rest of America.

Yes to the Dress, David Tutera My Fair Wedding, Rich Bride Poor Bride (considering I was lost my job just 2 months before the wedding - budget was a BIG thing for us... )

I wish we had the $$$ to be considered for Platinum Weddings, but...lol...not in this life...hehe

Ive never seen Four Weddings so I cant say whether I would have applied or not.

ETA: (I knew there was one I was forgetting!) I always loved The Wedding Story on TLC!!! I used to watch it WAY before DH & I even got engaged & dream of the romantic ways I would be proposed to!

DH would never agree to be on a show, and I don't think I'd want to either, but the only one aybe I'd like to is Say Yes to the Dress...but I loved my dress and Kleinfeld's was WAY out of my budget anyway, so not realistic.

Great question.

Having been a part of my sister's My Fair Wedding, there is no way in hell that I would sign on to do one of these shows.

We got the email for Four Weddings too, but having gone through hell with my sister, I decided to make an executive decision and not do it.

Nope...I would not want to compromise our day for anything and to have someone change or judge it I would not appreciate...if I had to do anyone it would be say yes to the dress but even that would be a stretch

I totally agree! DH and I considered the 4 weddings thing for a minute but then decided if people were going to judge our wedding, the prize had to be better than just a trip!

Cari I have to COMPLETELY agree with you!!!

SYTTD is such a fun show to watch, that definitely would have been my pic.

And like you, I never made it to Kleinfeld because I fell in love with Wedding Salon so much!

My runner up would have been Platinum Weddings...our wedding was $$$ but not anywhere near that level!

I wouldn't want to publicize my wedding on TV. I don't care about criticism and stuff- but I just wouldn't want to be on TV- I am kind of private.

Platinum weddings. Duh!! Although I probably would have gotten all the same stuff that I already had, just maybe more flowers, more bling, and more expensive shoes. Oh, and maybe a longer reception for more dancing. Oh yeah, and the obvious, more people!

Re: ****3/7 NWQOTD****

well my brother was actually on a wedding show...i dont think its on anymore...but i would say yes to this question if it was something like the show they were one...

the show was called i do, and it showed different couples at different stages of their wedding planning...like the first 10 mins was a bride looking for a dress, then then next 10 mins were a bride and groom getting relaxed and prepaired for the wedding by getting a massage, and teeth whitening, then then last 10 mins were a couple at their wedding! and basically jsut showed clips of them having a good time at the wedding! my brother were lucky enough to have the last part!! so if we were able to get something like that, where basically they jsut showed our wedding without changing anything i would do it, but i would have been sad if i didnt get to plan my own, or have it the way i visoned it.
