A few of you asked to see...

The part of my review that is missing. Minus the name of the photographer, cause Idon't want it pulled.

Here is the original with one update...I updated it again after this, I don't remember exactly what I wrote. But I mentioned the issues I was having (missing pictures, camera malfunction, etc) and said that I was being compensated with $300.

Maybe I said something 'emotional' in there? I don't remember, but if LIW would have let me know, I would have removed it. I know I definitely changed the photo grade to a 'c-' like it is on my profile.

The way I see it, I pretty much sugar coated everything.

I have a feeling the photographer complained and had it removed- EVEN though I was HONEST.

Anyway- here it is:

Photo- A- (Pending proofs)

Girl and her assistant Boy were on time and professional. While on our honeymoon, I thought of some pictures that she missed (including one of the entire bridal party with the RBs and FG- we never got one, and portraits of Me and DH around the Riviera by ourselves) I’m sure though, that she captured many things that I wouldn’t even think of- I hope so anyway. Girl was great, she lied down on the muddy ground at the park to get shots, climbed up on chairs, anything to get a great picture! There are 1 or 2 key pics I know she missed- but I think I will be satisfied overall. And it is partly my fault because I didn’t spell it out on the photo request form…but I figured it was common sense.

I had some doubts about my choice along the way because my e-pics didn’t come out very well (they were taken by the owner, not Girl). Girl is a talented and creative photographer though, so hopefully, my proofs will blow me away and all the doubts I had will be proven false.

Update:I picked up my proofs and I was not “blown away” but there are some very nice pictures, definitely enough for my album. I am still missing some proofs, but the owner is working on getting them printed for me right now.

I made a mistake by posting my concerns on here before speaking to the owner. I want to assure any brides thinking of using them to remain confident in your decision.

I do have a few issues with some of the bridal party pictures in that there are some where someone’s face is covered and it didn’t have to be if the photographer would’ve just told them to move their head one way or another or to stand on their toes or whatever.

My advice is to be VERY SPECIFIC about what you want. I put ALL of my trust in the creativity and skill of my photographer and, although she did a good job, I didn’t get EXACTLY what I wanted. I have to partly blame myself for this. I didn’t give her copies of “must take pics” because I didn’t want cookie cutter images, I wanted unique and I trusted her vision. Now I wish I would have, but I’m still fairly happy with the results.

So, excluding my addendum that I know longer have a copy of, I would say that this, at least is fair.

You shouldn't have to 'sugar coat' your review. It is what it is. When brides read a review, they're looking for HONEST answers, not something that makes the vendor or TPTB happy.

Sorry for this, it s u cks. Makes me not even want to do a review...

I don't see why they pulled that. It's very diplomatic and it basically advises future brides using them to be aware. There is nothing wrong with that. Isn't that the purpose of the review?

And if this is any comfort to you, I had the SAME exact issue with my proofs and my advice to a B2B would also to make sure you are specific no matter how standard or routine a YOU may think a photo is.
