ACK..... my advisor.....

He went to the ER last night and is scheduled for major surgery tomorrow......

I'm now in charge of cancelling his lectures, spreading contact info to people who need it.....

I hate waiting for people to come out of surgery.... I always get so stressed waiting... I hope he's ok

I know how you feel waiting for people to come out of surgery. My DH had a kidney transplant 3 years ago and I was like a nervous wreck waiting for him to come out of recovery!

my dad had a very bad case of cancer, so I grew up waiting for 8+ hour operations to end...... My advisors operation will be almost as long.....

this is pretty sudden and rather stressful
