Addressing TYs

Well, it will be 6 months that we are married and I'm still writing TY notes!!! I hope to have them out by next week.

Quick question: When addressing the envelope, can you use abbreviations, such as St., Apt., NY? I know that you can't on wedding invitations, but can you use them on TY notes envelopes?
