I keep trying to convince my DH that we should finish our set. We only need 5 soup bowls, 11 accent plates and the serving platter. I can do without the creamer and sugar since I already have a glass set. I am not sure, I am happy to have it, and if you are definately going to get it at some time, then I would get it with the discount.
I will say, that I am thankful for getting some things when they were purchased, b/c our sterling silver flatware went up over 1,000 more than what it was purchased for and our glasses used to be 45 a piece and are now 60 each. So I am happy to have them.

Re: Advice needed - do we buy our china?
If you are going to get it anyway at some point, I say buy it now while you have a discount. Does the place you registered at ever have it on sale? If so, you may want to check the sale price and see if that is cheaper.

Re: Advice needed - do we buy our china?
We bought it out after our wedding. We didnt get much of it as gifts at all. I knew that if we didnt buy it right away we would never do it. So, I have it all...never used it yet. But I am still glad to have it.

We got all of the place settings as wedding gifts, and a few serving pieces....so we've been buying the rest of it on our own over time. I love having my china and I have used it about a dozen times so far.

FYI: BedBath&Beyond allows the 20% coupon to be applied to china (regardless of the listed exclusion). Also, they match the bonus Fortunoff may be offering on the same pattern a the time of purchase. . After my bridal shower, we applied all gift money to china and finished it. Fortunoff was having a double bonus (soup & accent plate) and BBB matched it + 20% discounts. . Fortunoff also accepts BBB coupons if it's an item they both sell. I got my Kitchenaid with the 10% completer coupon and a 20% BBB coupon! However, F. complies with the restrictions on the coupon. . Good luck.

Re: Advice needed - do we buy our china?
My mother purchased ALL of my china, she had the girls chip in for the dinner plates and she also bought all 12 of the cake plates, butter plates, soup dishes, tea cups and matching plate, and my aunt purchased the vegtable bowl. so Im pretty set up . My mom went way overboard too, I still have some GC to fortunoffs I guess if I wanted to I could get the accessories to it but dont need them to serve dinner.

I agree - you should definitely get it. I went back and forth about the same thing for awhile - didn't want it, and then realized if I didn't get it now, I probably wouldn't down the road so I bought it. So I'm voting for buy it now, especially with the discount.
