Nope, you have to take it and LITERALLY lay down, you only get a certain amount of time that you can fall asleep and if you miss it you are 'awake'.......same with tylenol PM

I am an expert....couldnt sleep without tylenol PM after awhile. THEN had to be put on ambien and was told ALL sleep aids are that way, you get a window of opportunity, usually about 15-30 minutes after you take it.
I took a nap when I got home.....stupid *** that I am

WOW I didnt realize. Now Im gonna feel pressure whenever I take them to lie down and close my eyes. I wish I was one of those people who could just close their eyes and be OUT, Like my DH. I swear he just closes them and not even a second later is snoring.
Doesnt help that I woke up this morning to two MASSIVE centipedes. I feel like things are crawling on me!

Aww I feel your pain. I havent been sleeping at all. The best thing is I turn on the TV and DH gets so mad and starts grunting in his sleep at me. By the time I fall asleep it is around 1 or 2 and then I am tossing and turning for the rest of the morning. It stinks! I never get solid sleep.

Ugh me neither. Luckily DH likes sleeping with the TV on as much as I do. But I rarely sleep through the night. Thinking about sleeping stresses me out

Re: Advil PM
They don't work for me unless I take three and lay down within 20 minutes. When I take three, I give myself 9-10 hours of lay down time versus the 8 they suggest.

Re: Advil PM
DH just bought dietary supplement pills with melatonin in them. I've been using them for about a week now and I think they work pretty good. I usally wake up in the middle of the night and cant get back to sleep for hours. But the melatonin helps you get into a deeper sleep cycle. I still wake up in the middle of the night sometimes, but I fall back to sleep quicker now and feel a lot more rested the next day.
