After party?

I don’t know what to do after the wedding. The bridal party wants to keep the party going after the wedding of course but our wedding ends at 1 a.m….i don’t think any hotel bar will stay open. Not sure what to do…what did you ladies do?

We had people come back to our suite - I ended up falling asleep on the couch in my gown!

Oh I didn't know if we coud do that. I was afraid it would be loud! I will ask the hotels if thats ok. Theer are 20 peope in my bridal party though!

I don't think they will give you any problems, I had 22 people in my party - not including DH and I! Lol

we just went back to the best man's room and told the bridal party and some other people to come out

we kept it low key - a couple of coolers full of beer because the hotel didnt have a bar

it was nice to sit there for a few hours after the wedding to just chill out. ours ended at 1am and we didnt get to the hotel until 2. we slept at home so we took a cab back after the after party to our house around 4ish and then got to opening the gifts and some other fun i think we slept about 2 hours before my parents were ringing the doorbell at 11am to bring us to our honeymoon

you are going to be exhausted!!! trust me! We originally were going to hang out in one of my BMs room, but at 1am when we got back all we wanted to do was SLEEEEEEEEEP

we wanted to but after being up at 8am then doing make up and hair at 11 church at 3 and reception end at midnight the only thing i wanted to do was sleep

yup, this is exactly what happened to us. We didn't get back to the hotel until after 1, and after packing up everything and getting our check and cash deposits in order, we went straight to bed. We had to leave the following morning at 7am for our HM, so there was no way we were going to do an after-party.

If your having a day or late afternoon wedding, then I can see you having an after party. Otherwise, you guys may be too tired lol

Exactly This!!!!
I don't know what time DH woke up on our wedding day, but I woke up around 6am and by the time we got home, we still had to shower, officially become man & wife and we wanted to open our gifts. We went to bed around 4am and we were exhausted! the idea of hanging out with people aterwards didn't appeal to us and we would have fallen asleep on them if we did.

Plus, i think its a really special time, when you both get to bask in the afterglow of your wedding day. you can reminisce on how the day went and special moments that happened throughout the day. Its easier to do when its just the two of you and not the two of you and 20 of your closest friends.

But, to each his own
