send or give a thank you give to management? We're wrestling over this & it's bugging me.
We tipped the Matre 'd ... & his response to us was ... do I have to share this with Tim (GM) & Lisa (Director of Catering). We said no. That was for him.
We'll of course send a TY when they're ready, but, what about a gift? What's the etiquitte here?

I spoke with our catering manager after the HM to personally thank him, which I did with most of my vendors, they were all so wonderful. And I sent TY notes to them when we did the rest of them.
I didn't send them a gift nor did it occur to me. They were paid for a service, well paid I am sure, plus tipped. I think a TY card they will be able to display for future customers is enough.
I'm curious to see what other people did.

We'd sent a Thank you card to management to the Banquet Manager as we meet with her numerous times during our engagement and planning period. One card we also include her supervisor--the Banquet Director and the planner who gave us fanastic vendor recommendations.
Our Matîre 'di we of course gave a tip whom split it with my personal attendant.

I am not sending a thank you. On top of the 20% we paid the banquet staff we gave the 'executive management' $1200 (BM, Chef, Captains, etc) to split- this was suggested in the 'executive gratuity'... then one of the BM comes over to me and says that the $1200 does not include my Bridal Attendant.. I was so miffed but my attendant was great so I gave her $100

I am planning to send thank you's. We tipped everyone who provided us with great service that night. I think that's enough.
we tipped out maitre d and bridal asst at the same time...didn't think there would be confusion...
then I sent thank yous (some later than others...to almost every vendor...finding the addresses after the wedding wasn't high on my agenda...no offense to my great vendors...I gave them plenty of raves here
