After the wedding, what was the first change that you made to your home or apartment?

Was there anything that you said, OK I am a married woman now, time for this or that to go!

Besides all the all the wedding planning stuff that was thrown out IMMEDIATELY! I changed all the pictures in our house. I have no idea why. They just didn't seem to match our lives now.

all his baseball figures and anime toys are still in boxes....I am STILL trying to get him to stop piling clothes on the chair!!! So if I don't straighten up, our apt. looks like a college dorm!

NOPE! Nothing....YET! But then again, there isn't really much to change since he never really 'settled in'. DH closed on the house 2 weeks before he proposed so with the wedding planning, he really had no time to 'make it his own'. So, we get to make 'our own' together!

Right after the wedding we were still in an apt. We bought a new bed and a new living room set

we put wedding pics in frames... we are going out and buying a wine holder thingy... we aren't buying too much b/c we are still saving for a ...

yup the pictures in our frames. I moved the 'partying with the friends' pics and put more wedding pics out

Well, since we closed on our house right after the wedding, we have been ripping down the paneling and sheetrock. But once the walls are back up I would expect to see a change in the pictures displayed. Also right now our bedroom is all mixed up stuff that doesnt match. We are going to have a really nice bedroom soon!

Well we've been slowly decorating our house since a few months before the wedding. We have a new house so it was all one color so we are doing some painting and hanging things.

We cleaned out the kitchen and put in all our new stuff and I just changed the bedroom stuff over and hung the drapes in there.

We also bought a chair for our bedroom and the buffet that goes with our dining room table.

We've been busy newleyweds! And let me just say my husband is thrilled

Threw out all the wedding magazines, donated some good ones to the local library and boxed up all my wedding stuff for storage. Other than that, nothing major since we were living together before the wedding.

Well, right before the wedding we bought & stained a night stand for DH, since he had moved in with me. I too want to change some of the pictures & take out the partyingwth friends & put up more family ones, but we had to move, so that will be done in the new apt.

I am getting rid of a lot of things, but that is a combination of because we are married & because we are moving.

We went and bought a new mattress like the second weekend back from the HM. We're still in the process of fixing up our house, which began before the wedding, so things are always changing.

Got rid of all of the wedding magzines and planning stuff. We then got rid of a lot of our kitchen ware--mis-matched tableware, the Ikea frying pans that were beyond recognition as frying pans, the stained cutlery, and put to use the items we got off our registry. We recently did a massive fall cleaning where we got rid of a ton of clothes, books and other items you could call bric-a-brac and carted it off to good will. And we put in some more shelving.

A possible big change for the apartment is that DH has a contractor who has offered to build us a platform bed as a wedding present.

we had bought a house together when we were engaged so we started doing things to it right away. however, there is still things we want to change so we are still working on our home. the people b4 us had such bad taste in colors and stuff like that.
