Just curious how we all want to handle getting older...:)
I would like to think that I want to age gracefully lol As long as I will be a skinny old lady, I wont mind the wrinkles!

Re: Aging..
few wrinkles are okay (from what I see I think I will have good aging genes). But if somehow I am not lucky I will not rule out other forms of staying young.

Re: Aging..
I have some lines in my forehead and under the eyes, nothing major but they irritate me. I spent one too many years in the tanning bed :( Y y y didnt I think about the precautions!?
I will wait as long as possible but will probably beg and plead with DH for botox (in several years after kids!)

Re: Aging..
i'm hoping my mothers/grandmother's genes will stay with me...but we'll see! After many MANY summers of sunworshipping in my teens, i'm now really starting to take care of my skin...hopefully the aging process will be okay! I don't know - i just feel like we're MEANT to get older..we will never look 25 forever & we shouldn't..i love seeing a sexy woman in her 30's/40's...so i hope to just take care of myself & enjoy it.
as for botox - i HATE it! i see SO many women who've gotten it done on a daily basis and it just makes me go it just doens't look natural - so what's the point anyway?

My parents have aged really well and I think my brother and I are following in their footsteps.

Re: Aging..
I have been using wrinkle cream for years and will fight aging to its death lol...I want to stay as young looking as possible for as long as possible!! I also wear sunscreen every day. The sun causes more damage than anything else as far as aging...I'm not sure about plastic surgery though....I don't know if I would go that far esp after seeing Prisicilla Presley on the dance show I am not averse to wrinkle fillers though. There are other ones besides Botox (Juvenesse and something else) that actually fill in the wrinkles rather than freezing the muscles like Botox does. It looks natural, not plastic like

Re: Aging..
Whats weird is I always have looked younger than I really am.. I'm 27 and people sometimes mistake me to be in my early twenties..I have even got 18 once!! So I'm hoping this trend continues for many, many more years! lol !! but seriously..I want to age gracefully. I hate the way celebrities look when they had too many botox injections and face lifts!!! its scary!

agreed. I don't think it's worth doing if it doesn't look natural. It's probably even more embarrassing to have it obvious that you've done work on yourself. I dunno.
As for me, I think that i will be aging gracefully. I always took good care of my skin (was never a tanning salon girl, other than occasional). I just have a feeling that wrinkles won't be a huge problem.
When it comes to my body, I just hope that I'm not big & fat, but I don't expect to look as good as i do now. We're just not meant to stay young forever. What's so wrong with getting old anyway? It gonna be disappointing of course for things to start sagging and all that (gross) , but I'll deal. Especially since I got me a fella to grow old WITH

Re: Aging..
I'm not above cosmetic procedures if need be!
Then again, I do look a year younger than my age and all.

actually i saw a thing recently that said as you age you look younger if you have a little fat especially in the face area bc keeps you looking younger, again this is as you get older not applied now. Which makes sense considering most face treatments is injecting fat into your face as you get older, it helps with the elasticity.
I say now i'll be fine with it but who knows how i will feel when i get older. I guess it will all depend on how I age.

Re: Aging..
i want botox now i have wrinkles in my forehead that i HATE - and even if i pull up my skin (like to mimic giving myself like a brow lift) they are STILL there!! i HATE HATE HATE them.....so i want to get botox now hahahaha but i will wait until after kids to start injecting poison into my face hahahahaha......
i dont think id ever go as far as a face lift or anything like that - but def botox/restylane along the way - if its done correct you really can't tell.....i bet you almost every big actress over 30-35 does it and i think they look great....so many celebs that do it have admitted it and you cant tell - they just look great.....you just cant go overboard with that stuff, its not supposed to look like you had anything done

Re: Aging..
I hope that the things I am doing now to take care of my skin - using SPF 55 on my face everyday, trying to use night cream and good moisturizers, etc - will help me age gracefully. I can't see myself having surgical procedures - just not me. Ask me this question in 20 years, however, and you may get a different answer.

Re: Aging..
I am using La mer now and spf cream in the summer. I have always used face creams or lotions. No more tanning. I hate that I thought it was okay to go to a tanning bed when I was in 8th grade! Ick! Im more careful in the sun now. nce my la mer is out, Im going to begin using a cheaper anti wrinkle cream. Maybe Olay? I don't want to get wrinkly. But I also dont know if I would do botox. My friend gets it for her migraines and said it is the worst pain in the world. And I don't want to be like Nicole Kidman and lose all expression in my face. But we'll see. I havn't ruled it out yet.

Re: Aging..
A few years ago I started taking much better care of my skin. I've had enough sunburns from childhood and teenage years that I'll have wrinkles (and also have to watch for melanoma) but I'm using a lot more things now to help take care of fine lines now and much more careful about protecting my skin when I'm in the sun.

Re: Aging..
I've been blessed with good genes, so I don't have wrinkles except for a small crease in my forehead that I've had forever. Plain old Nivea is what I use on my face and neck. It works for me.
I am seeing other signs of aging. Some brown spots are popping up, courtesy of aging and BC. My eyes are starting to sink into their sockets. Nothing can be done to prevent that. And my cheeks have started to creep downward, creating those annoying lines from my nose down around my mouth. Other than an eye lift to counter my deep set eyes, I really don't want to do anything else to my face (well maybe a bit of restylane if my cheeks keep falling). I've had this face for 42 years and I like it just fine.

I totally pull up my skin at like my hairline just to see what i'd look like with a mini-lift. I'm not above doing that when I'm in my 40's.

that's a good point. I have noticed that older women with some fat in their faces do look younger than those who are very thin. I always just assumed that it was because their skin wasn't as loose. lol. Who knows.

Re: Aging..
I refuse to age gracefully but I also don't want to be one of those botoxed, bad plastic surgery victims you see walking around the city. I'll do what I can to stave off the ravages of time without going overboard.
