AGREE I do not respect a woman going back to any man who beats her. In the court documents, she is stated that he has done this to her before.

I think personally that Rihanna should not go back with him.. I don't think that anyone should ever go back into that situation. However no one can make that decsion for her. It is awful, and lack self respect.

I agree with Donald, although I think his wording was a little harsh - but hey that's his style.
I liked how Oprah put it - 'He hits you once, he'll do it again'
She really does need to set a good example for her young female fan base, I mean it suuucks she got the sh.it beat out of her, but how can you respect her if she got back with him, or possibly even married him after he attacked her??

I dont know if she doesnt DESERVE future success. I do think this is going to ruin her career. Before she got back with him she had a chance because she was the victim. Now she lost the sympathy card and a lot of people dont have respect for her lack of rationality in this situation. She looks weak and fans dont like that.
On the other hand, I read that Chris Brown is up for two teen choice awards and the show blamed it on the kids saying they voted for him.

Yeah but they submitted his name to be nominated! It makes me angry that people condone this sort of behavior, It was looking good for a while with (as Perez put it) 'Beat her down Brown's' career becoming extinct, but now Sean Combs is entertaining both camps at his house for the weekend, and the kids choice awards...etc... makes me sick

I do agree BUT it's very black and white from the outside looking in. There's a lot of fuzzy area when you're actually in the situation. I feel like I can't judge because I've never (thank god) been in a situation like hers. I'd like to think I'd get out of a relationship as soon as there is any signs of abuse, verbal or physical, but since spousal abuse is such a huge issue in our country clearly there's a lot of women out there who do stay with their abusers. It's so easy to get irate with these women, I think donald trump made his comment out of anger so while he is right I do think it's harsh.

Yup theyre full of it. And this morning I heard on the radio, Diddy didnt know Rihanna was joining him. Why would he even let him use his house in the first place. The guy beat the living sh!t out of a woman.

I totally agree with him although I do understand alot of women go back to their abusers but it is a different story when you are a woman in the spotlight and have thousands of fans who look up to you. That sets a terrible example.

I agree but I feel like its very harsh way to speak about it. I think since she has this celebrity platform to stand on she should speak out against domestic violence. I think if she goes back with him her career will be hurt.

Like Jess, I can't speak from personal experience but this 'fight' and I use that term loosely was made very public from the 'leaked photo' right down to the police report with a time line of how, where, and why he repeatedly hit and bit her!

Anyhow, if she goes back with him I hope she doesn't enjoy success b/c it will put a woman who is seemingly ok with domestic violence in the spotlight. That ain't right!

It is battered women's syndrome. From the outside, we can obviously see that she should not go back to him, but to the battered woman it is not clear at all. If it were that easy, then every women who was ever hit would only get hit once, then never go back. We all know that is not the case. Rihanna definitely needs help but she doesn't need people telling her she is stupid for going back. Just because she is famous doesn't mean she is immune to something that probably thousands of women experience daily in the US.
