I love David Cook, but I hope Archuleta wins... I don't want David Cook to have to do all the lame songs and albums that Idols have to do under contract. I think he'll do better on his own as an artist!!

i agree! it's painful to think of David Cook singing cheesy songs, so it might actually be better if Archuleta wins

I want David C to win. Sy and David A can have very nice careers on broadway, but David has real pop idol appeal.
As to the cheese factor, I think he's proven himself to be an incredibly mature artist; he takes BIG risks and they pay off. I don't think his label is going to jeopardize that reputation -- he's certainly not a Clay or a Kelly. PLUS there's 6 years of cumulative post-Idol experience for him to learn from. I think he's strong enough to hold out for the right material... (at least i HOPE so!!)

I vote for David Cook. I think Shyesha and David A. should both be on broadway. Really.... what songs could little David sing that would keep you listening to them? He takes too many deep breaths into the microphone when he sings too. I do like him and think that he is very good for his age... I just don't see him making a record that I would listen to. Now David Cook on the other hand I would listen to. I think he has a career even if he wins AI... I don't think they will give him cheesy songs.... Carrie Underwood for example. She has done awesome and she won the title!!!

I would usually say that, but think they will (hopefully) count on him winning and choose songs that are more rockish. But ya usually the 2nd place person makes out better.

No one this season blows more than seasons 3 and 6 combined.

I forsee the end of AI coming soon. It's a freakin joke now that's totally manipulated.

And just to add coming in second isn't much better.

5 years later Simon Cowell is still not allowing Clay to tour overseas and he was forced to record his 2006 album with mostly covers.

Any place you come in on that show they will still butt rape you. It just lasts for slightly less time if you don't win.
