Airfare is SOOO HIGH! -Need Help Please

I am trying to book a surprise anniversary trip to vegas for DH STILL! I have found great hotel prices, but the flights are so much money. For those of you who have been to vegas...
Did you pay a fortune for your flight?
Did you have a nonstop flight?
Which airline did you use?

HELP!!!

yes i tried all of those, I am so frustrated, because I dont think it should cost over 600 to fly to vegas. LOL

Actually an average price for airfare is $295-$320 on America West.

I don't know why Jetblue is sooo expensive. I paid $119 each way for one person.

I'm surprised Jet Blue is expensive....my DH just went on a business trip last week and paid $99 each way and we went together about 2 months ago and paid about $120 each way.

Try America West.

Did you try Liberty travel? We did fly direct when we went. We flew American West. I dont remember the airfare but was told it was a good rate. I have friends who usually fly Jet Blue there. Did you try Jet Blue?

Did you try Song Airways? They are operated by Delta I think and I just priced out airfare for Vegas in March and it came out to less than $300 round trip.

Sorry.. last time we went to Vegas we flew National Airlines.. direct from JFK.. but I dont think they are around anymore.. it was pretty cheap.

I'd try Orbitz for a good guess.. sorry..

Or Hotwire.

Guess cause it was Thanksgiving? They are usually cheap (?)

also try Cheap Tickets

We have booked with them a bunch of times and their prices have been pretty good. You may have a layover, but it might be worth it.

ETA: If you leave on a Tuesday or Wednesday, flights are generally cheaper since everyone leaves or comes home on a Monday. And don't forget your Saturday stay over, that will also help to bring the price down.

Yes try Cheap Tickets and Travelocity they both have packages and you get good deals my friend just booked throuh Travelocity and was going for 4 nights and got a great price!

THAT IS $$$$$$. It is def because of Thanksgiving. When I was looking this pass summer to go to San Diego it was $119 each way the lowest. You def have to book these things way in advance before all the prices go way up.

try leaving at off times are arrived on the red eye.. sometimes you can get better deals...

If you are just looking for airfare, a travel agent will not help, we have the same prices as the airlines (and most travel agents have to charge a service fee for just airline tickets).
