Re: album outline...

Place them in the order of how your day happened, put all duplicates together, select the best of the best of each pix. Throw out any ones where you are not looking the absolute best, where everyone is not looking at the camera/in the same direction. That is what we did.

Re: album outline...

I agree with Shama, although when I met with the photographer to go over my album, I ended up adding more pictures and getting a bigger (and of course more expensive) album!

Since I get to keep my proofs, I'm making up another album with all of them in it. I can't get enough of this!!!

Re: album outline...

putting them in some sort of order is key...

then after looking through them about a dozen times...i went through and picked out any one that I would want in my album...I pulled out well over 100 at first...

then I sat down with those and thought about the order of the album and which pictures would look good back to back with one another

also keep in mind...this is an album of you and DH...not all of your guests...you don't need BP walking down the aisle AND walking into the reception...

Re: album outline...

As Lia say, your album should tell the story of your day. Our album reflects us

Re: album outline...

I also used mini-colored sticky note. Each mom and I had a color assigned. After putting the proofs into pain staking order and pulling out the ones I didn't love, I began to add sticky notes to the back of the photos that I felt best reflected our day. I also let them mom's pick this way- that way NO proofs were out of order and messed up.
then I brought everything to the photographer with me, with and without sticky notes and we worked from there.
