say your photog says choose 100 pics for your album....
you know how most photographers like to use details pics enlarged as backgrounds for layouts? (like flowers for ex). well, do you include those kind of pics as part of your chosen 100 or does your photog just choose those types of background pics and they dont count as a part of your 100 pics for your album?
just curious as to what types of pics i should be choosing for our album and if i should be picking some keeping in mind it would be good as a background... or whether i leave that to my photog.
does that make any sense or am i confusing?
TIA!

Re: album qu
I picked out pics that would make good backgrounds and extra details and gave them to my photographer with the rest of the pics I picked. I think it's a good idea to do that.

did you pick those background pics out ON TOP OF the amount you were allowed to choose for the album, or did they count as a part of that?

I picked out some of the background shots too for them to use -- but not sure how they count them, also with our photographer we have unlimited images so we don't have a count we are locked into -- and it's making it htat much harder to narrow down our pics
maybe ask your photographer -- I would think they might not count since they need something to act as the background anyway and you are helping them with those choices

Re: album qu
Yes, our background shots counted against the 100, but in the end they let us go over. We ended up with 160.

Re: album qu
Jess,
I picked out 50 for my collage album and I basically did them all as a sort of documentary of our day. I did some close up, far away, and I gave him creative power to veto any pictures he felt were not exactly right. Mariann is brilliant and I am sure if you give her 100 pictures in a documentary style order, she can let you know if something isn't right. They can also crop or fiddle with certain pictures to make them look great as a backdrop. I used Alan from Jeffrey Studios and he told me to do it this way and he will play around with the ones I gave him and then I imagine if he is missing something, he will let me know via email. That is probably the best way to do it as Mariann's albums are all stunning, and I am sure she will let you know if she feels a certain picture is not as great as another one.
