Album question...

what would you say is a sufficient number of pictures to put into your album, so that your day is accurately (and thoroughly) represented?

How many pictures do you all have in your albums?

hmm. . .well, we picked our album size when we booked, so we picked the smallest one- 30 pics.
Partly because we hate pictures of ourselves & partly because it is easier to upgrade ( & pay ) later.
I haven't really started to lay everything out yet, but I'm not sure now if 30 is enough.

I think more than 50 is a lot though.

I will have 89 in mine! My DH thought that was too much but I couldn't decide on which ones to take out! I love pictures!!

Ours is 65 and honestly, I think we could have gotten away with less. I mean, I love our pictures, but I just don't feel I need *that* many!

I think ours has somewhere between 40 and 45 shots in it.

I mean we didn't need two shots of us feeding each other cake, so we did one picture of the cake, one feeding shot, and then one kissing shot after it was cut and put it on a composite page.

Just like we didn't need the whole sequence of vows and ring exchange either - so we picked 3 pictures that told that story and put it on a composite page.

There is no one answer to that question...we contracted for 40 pics in our album and I honestly don't think I'll be able to choose less than 80. At the moment I have about 150 chosen, so we still have to narrow it down a bit.

we have 42 i think. our contract was for 40. the thing is extras were so expensive we were like why would we do that? we have the proofs and all the table camera pics too. so we didn't see a need for a huge 'official' album. but everyone is going to feel differently on this issue. do what works for you.

we're supposed to have 40-50 in ours, I presently have 60 and cannot narrow it down (as it is, I feel like I'm leaving out a bunch)

I might just upgrade not to stress myself over it .. i mean, I've already waited nearly 5 months, I want to get the thing started already

That's what I want, too.

It was perfect becasue we were able to isolate soem pictures and really show them off by putting them by themselves...but then telling the story of other events of the day by grouping the pictures together.

ours was originally 65 photos but jsut didn't think it was adequate enough so we bumped it to 80ish. my album's one of those digitalized books. the pictures' in several dimensions, shape and size. i'm not a huge photo person but we felt there were a lot of photos that was important for the next person viewing our album to understand our day.

i can't really tell ya how many photos is sufficient.. it all depends on the number of activities you're having on your beautiful day. good luck, tho, cuz i had a had time narrowing down =)
