Album Question

So DH & I are finally going through our proofs to pick the ones that will go into our album.

He thinks we should go in with more pictures then the ones we need, so they can help us narrow them down a bit. His concern is if we're sitting there at the appointment, and they don't think a picture 'works' we would have an alternative picture already available to use.

Not a crazy amount extra ... right now we have it down to 115, we get 75 in our album.

I'm not sure ... so I thought I'd check with you gals ...

Do they help you narrow down your choices at the big long album designing appointment?

I think it depends on your photographer.
Ours was great, he spent a lot of time helping us design our album.
My friend however, left her photographer crying because they werent willing to help.

they told us the appointment would take about 2 hours ... i hope that means they'll be willing to help us???

we did it ourselves but the only advice I can give you is make piles; break up thr day by event liek :

- You getting ready
-DH gettign ready/his parenst with corsages and boutineres etc
-the ceremony
-The formals of you and DH
-Formals of BP
-Formals of Family

Then make piles for the reception starting with First dances; you and DH, you and dad, him and mom.
-Cake Cutting
-bo-k and garter toss if you did it
-Any random reception shots you really like.

Once you have your seperate piles, then start breaking down each pile again with a second sort as to the pictures you truly LOVE; you will probably find that alot of the ones you LOVE are similar, so choose the better of the similar shots.

Keep doing that with all your piles and you may weed out a few more.

Have faith in your phpotographer! If there is a shot you MUST have, but he doesnt feel it works for some reason, ask him to find a similar shot that does. They usually take 3 shots of the same thing (like formals) anyway to ensure one of them comes out well.
