All Secret Santa participants, please participate... (aka Anyone want to do a Newlywed Secret Santa?)
Original post by Sonicstef
I know this a little last minute but it might be fun. We could put a $ cap on the gifts ($20?) and have a deadline of sending it in the mail by Dec 23 (so it might be delivered a little after Christmas but so what).

Re: Ho Ho Ho!
I love everything that smells good also, candles, candle holders, movies, anything nice to decorate the house, anything photo related but no frames needed (I have enough) and really anything simple but nice is good enough for me.

Re: Ho Ho Ho!
Hmm..i dont really have a wish list only things I dont want like knick-naks, candles, smelly stuff...pretty much what everyone else wants, I dont
I like practical things that can be used. I like to read and to research stuff so books/mags are a nice option. I think my style is pretty simplistic.

I do not need any more knick knacks or picture frames or candles.... I love romance novels (Like Nora Roberts since I have read all of hers to date..)...etc.. to read to and from the city..I also love Movies...the cheasy 80's are my favorite... WE have a DVD player..2 to be exact but No DVD

Re: Ho Ho Ho!
I love to read- but not romance novels. I loved The Red Tent, Girl With Pearl Earing, The Poisonwood Bible and The Secret Lives of Bees. I also enjoy 'silly' books like Diary of a Bride. My favorite color is deep plum. And as I said before I love to cook and bake. Since my wedding I have been looking at my proofs and we are buying a home. I am now trying to figure out what to do with all the new rooms.

Re: Ho Ho Ho!
Are we giving clues instead of our names when we send the gift so we have to guess, or are we just going to sign our names to it? just was curious since I dont' want to do the wrong thing!

I tried to get everyone to answer my questions on the last page but not everyone did. :(
I think you should sign your name to the gift.

Re: Ho Ho Ho!
Even though DH and I are moving soon, we're still going to be in a very small 2 BR, so clutter, junk and anything that just sits there and cannot be used drives me crazy (literally)! We have a huge problem with this right now.
I like books and magazines about parenting and babies, but I already have several books that were given to me. Christmas ornaments and picture frames are always nice. I can't really use anything too smelly on my body, since the perfumes irritate me.

Re: Ho Ho Ho!
Sorry, the week before break is always crazy at school. Here's some infomation:
1. Your family (FH/DH, kids, pets) Me and my husband and the horse
2. Your hobbies I have a horse who takes up alot of my time. I am a middle school teacher, and that too takes up much of my time. I like to do crafty things and play outside (hike, kayak, garden, etc...)
3. Your home colours/decor/themes We rent an apartment, so the decor is standard. We do have this deep purple theme going on though.
4. Your favourite things hmmmmmm, things that are classy and understated... Simple, yet different. Earth tone fabrics and silver metals. Anything from the Penndingtons catalogue. Big (wide, and long enough to wrap around twice) soft scarves. I put them on under my coat, and often leave them on all day :) Lavender is my favorite herb. (Right now I have a rosemary buch in the computer room waiting to be given away for christmas and it smells wonderful)
5. Things you hate Dust collectors, sceneted body lotions, gold metals, thin long scarves, and croxley ales monday night football comercials on the radio and carnations.

Re: Ho Ho Ho!
Here's a suggestion...I was part of an online Secret Santa and we did not open the gifts until a specific day and when we did, we did it online. We all joined the chatroom at a specific time and as we opened we shared what it was and from whom!
Anybody want to do this? I think it would be fun...we just have to pick a day...once everyone has received thier gifts to do it!

Re: Ho Ho Ho!
Lisa, my Santee won't be able to do this b/c it's not a gift that can be opened....don't want to say much more, since I don't want to ruin the suprise!
