All you readers out there ?

Here's a list that could be a good starting point???This list is subjective of course, but it might be helpful:
Random House List

Oh and for my 21st b-day my parents got me one of those collections (Franklin Mint or something like that? ) of the greatest novels of all time? It was a subscription type thing where they send you 1 every few months and you keep it or send it back? I have like 75+ of them now, and I would not part with these for the world, that was the best present ever. And they are each works of art, beautifully printed, leather bound, etc.

I'm such a nerd :

Lord of the Rings
Go Ask Alice
Chronicles of Narnia
Flowers for Algernon
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn
The diary of Anne Frank (still makes me cry!)
Of Mice and Men

and the more recent
Angels and Demons
The Da Vinci Code

and of course..... HARRY POTTER

---

i read Go Ask Alice when I was 8 and I SWEAR it changed my life. I bought it for my 12 yr old nephew and my sister won't let him read it yet

Kite runner was great
As odd as it sounds...Harry Potter. I had to read the 1st one for college, and was hooked!

LOOOOVE John Irving! I've read most of them, but I still think Garp is my favorite.
